Hello Lead Academy. I hoped to have some more updates for you on school closure at this point but it looks like early next week before anything significant will be announced. In the meantime, please let us know if you are having any issues with student work or if we can help with anything. Tons of great books and resources available for you to pick up. Books cover all ages from read alouds and picture books to small chapter books and novels. Supplies will be out from 10-1 today!

Tomorrow, from 10-1, we will have out some more books and other resources like paper, pencils, workbooks, etc. for anyone who wants to stop by and grab some things. With libraries closing down, we figured people may want to grab a few more books to read. We won't have staff manning the pick up but will have a few tables setup in front of the front door under the awning from 10-1. Feel free to drop by and grab what you need. I will send out an additional update Friday night/Saturday morning with any new information. Thank you for your patience, grace, and flexibility! We are crew, not passengers! Whew, that was a long day of preparing materials for students. we are on schedule to have all materials ready for students to pick up at the scheduled pickup times. When you arrive at school, please park on the left side of the carline or in the parking lot and enter the front of the building. Materials will be in the media center. We went a bit heavier with paper and pencil assignments this closure so we can put more plans in place for more digital instruction should this closure last longer than two weeks. We figured that more paper and pencil may be easier for students and parents to keep track of than using more digital. We will begin calling at 2:00 anyone who hasn't come by yet just to make sure they are coming before 6:00. We apologize for so many texts and alerts but we are trying to push out information as soon as we have it. Nurse Todd will be here from 8-1 both today and Tuesday for anyone needing to pick up medications. The building is already buzzing with staff working to make sure kids have what they need over the next two weeks to keep their brains active.
