CORE VALUES

Lead Academy is a community of students, teachers, parents and leaders. Our community shares a set of values that we believe creates a foundation for students to grow and reach their greatest potential as scholars and as members of our larger community. These are our non-negotiables and the “Just Do It” components of our culture. Our school was founded on four pillars: Be nice. Work hard. Serve well. Have fun. These pillars guide everything we do and help us build a stronger school culture.

HABITS OF LEADERSHIP

We strive to incorporate our four pillars into students’ everyday lives all the way from kindergarten through eighth grade. We’ve discovered that our students will grow when they focus on four habits that fit perfectly with our pillars - Empathy, Perseverance, Integrity, and Curiosity. These are the Habits of Leadership that all community members try to improve upon each day. We believe that these four habits can work both in developing character and improving academics. We hope that after spending time at Lead Academy, all of our students become EPIC Leaders.

BE NICE - EMPATHY

The health of our community depends on each of us being kind and approaching each day with a positive outlook. We are all committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment for our students and staff.

WORK HARD - PERSEVERANCE

Our community believes that consistent achievement is a direct result of a solid work ethic. We all agree to have a growth-mindset and consistently improve our abilities.

SERVE WELL - INTEGRITY

Our community has a responsibility to make our city and region a better place to live. We all commit to performing services in our school community and surrounding neighborhoods.

HAVE FUN - CURIOSITY

Our community believes that achievement should be celebrated. Students are celebrated for their commitment to being nice, working hard and serving well, as well as their journey to become EPIC Leaders.
