Just a reminder we follow Greenville County for weather closings and delay. We will send a message any time that occurs. Please refrain from calling the front office to inquire about weather so our phone lines stay free. There doesn’t appear to be any danger of closing today. Enjoy the flurries!

Congratulations to our 2020 Teacher of the Year Scarlett Sawyer and our 2020 Support Staff Member of the year Elena Vargas Martinez. Both are very deserving of the recognition they are receiving as voted on by their peers. Thank you for all you do for Lead Academy!
Finally! Mauldin Road in front of our school has finally been designated as a school zone with signage after a long process of requesting it. Hopefully this will slow down drivers and make the road safer for our families entering and exiting our school.

Very proud of one of our 6th grade crews organizing a service project to collect and deliver care packages to seniors in nursing homes this week. They brightened the residents’ day and served well. Great job!

Congratulations to our Jr. Falcons (5th-6th grade) Boys Basketball team for taking home their first win this week. They have worked hard to grow and learn the game of basketball and it's paying off. They got to celebrate at lunch this week by eating pizza with their coach. Keep working hard boys!

6th graders are creating Mythology Book to summarize the myths rising 6th graders will need to understand next year.

We are so excited that Celebrations of Learning are here! The goal of our COLs is for students to present to guests the journey of their learning over the last few months. Each student has done a deep dive into a single theme across their core classes. This is an opportunity for them to display their learning growth and how that learning showed up both in their academic work across subjects and also in the work habits. Another goal of our COLs is for our students to become more and more comfortable with speaking to others in a professional manner. This is a hallmark event for us as a school. We ask that you make every effort to attend and allow your child to stay the entire time. We also ask that you spend time visiting other grades that are presenting and listening to students other than your own. In doing this, you will hopefully get to know the school better, while also supporting the learning of our larger student body. See you soon!
