We apologize for so many texts and alerts but we are trying to push out information as soon as we have it. Nurse Todd will be here from 8-1 both today and Tuesday for anyone needing to pick up medications. If you need to pick up medications outside of those hours, let us know and we can arrange something.
The building is already buzzing with staff working to make sure kids have what they need over the next two weeks to keep their brains active. We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow during one of the pickup times and locations. In terms of food, Greenville County is providing free meals to anyone under 18 to sites around the county for free meals. We will be directing all students and families to those locations. 4:00PM Update- School is being closed effectively immediately through March 31st. We are working on an official statement along with directions for distance learning as we speak and will have that posted in the next hour or two. Thank you for your patience. We are crew, not passengers.
Families, there is press conference around 4:00 today to give more details about how schools will handle the current situation. Lead Academy will put out an official statement with any new information around 7:00PM tonight or sooner. Until then, we haven't received any official notice from the state other than leaked information to the media. Please be patient until then and realize if I don't answer your email or phone call it's because I do not have any official information yet. Keep calm and hand sanitize on.

The Greenville Triumph has made the decision to temporarily postpone matches for at least the next 30 days. The postponement the includes the April 4th game where the Lead Academy choir was to perform the National Anthem.
Lady Falcons just made school history, scoring 3 goals in a game and recording their first shutout! Congratulations to the 2020 Lead Academy Women’s Soccer Program!

Today 3rd graders continued their study of theater by visiting the Younts Center for Performing Arts. They watched a local student theater group rehearse for an upcoming production. Students learned the importance of rehearsal before performance.
For the third time Lead's K-2 team has been selected as a national model for reading instruction. We are hosting over 50 educators from across the country this week to share our knowledge and practice. This is a huge compliment to our entire staff for working together to pull this event off and especially for the K-2 team for continuing to get this recognition of their work.
This Friday’s planned Paren Night Out has been cancelled. Thank you to those who were interested. We are going to make some tweaks to this event and try it again next year.
