Two quick Wednesday reminders: 1. Please check your student's backpack daily for paperwork sent home from school that needs to be filled out. This will greatly help us to make sure all students have the required paperwork on file. 2. Whenever a student is absent or late, please use the "Absence Form" link in the new Lead app to submitted a parent excuse or send the doctor's note in to the front office. Using the form in the app sends the note directly to the front office and decreases the chances it is lost or ends up in the wrong place. Have a great rest of the week!

Just a reminder that progress reports, MAP Data (3-8 graders), State testing data (4-8 graders who attended Lead last year), and a progress report letter with Jumprope login information will be coming home today. Please read the letter carefully. If you have questions or concerns about your student's progress report data, please contact your child's teacher to set up a conference. Have a great day!
The First Fun Friday of the school year has finally arrived and the theme is....OVERSIZED BOARD GAMES! We will have events ranging from Human Foosball to Live action Hungry Hungry Hippos! Students should already know their team colors (either the Purple tigers, Red wolves, Green snakes, or Yellow hornets). They may wear their colors to support their team or wear regular Friday attire. *Note* Must follow school appropriate guidelines.* Make sure to apply sunscreen and wear gym shoes. The times for each grade level's Fun Friday are listed below if you would like to see your kiddos in action! See you there! 9:15-10:30 - K5 through 2nd grade 12:00-1:15 - 3rd through 5th grade 1:30-2:45 - 6th thorough 8th grade
Just a reminder that students who arrive to school after 7:50 are tardy. Keep in mind that any student with 10 or more tardies is considered truant and may be required to create an attendance intervention plan. Every day students are tardy they are missing valuable crew time and instruction. Thank you to those that get here consistently on time. We realize traffic happens and life happens but please try your hardest to get to school on time each day. If we can assist in any way, please let us know. #wearecrewnotpassengers
Just a reminder that we use Jumprope Mastery Grading for our grading platform rather than Powerschool. We will send home parent logins for jumprope with progress reports next Thursday, 9/19. At that point, you will be able to login anytime you want to see progress. We wanted to make sure people were aware when logins will be sent home since we've had a few inquiries about it. Have a great day!
Reminder: dress down day is tomorrow. Pay $1 at the door and wear school appropriate clothing of your choice.
My apologies. Cost of dance is $5. I left that off original post.
Lead Academy is holding a back to school dance on Friday, September 6th. K5-4th Grade dance will be from 3:45-5:00 and 5th-8th will be from 5:30-7:00. Tickets to the dance cost $ and can be sent in to the front office with the student's name on it. K5-4th grade students may stay after school for the dance but 5th-8th graders must leave and return at 5:30. They may not stay for the lower grades dance time. K5-4th grade students must send ticket money in by Sept. 5 so we have an accurate list of who should stay and who should go to carline. Snacks and drinks will be for sale for $1 as well as a photo booth for $1. If you have any questions, please let us know. We hope to see everyone there!

Next Wednesday, Sept 4 is a dress down day for $1. If you didn't get a paper and have downloaded the app, simply send in a note tomorrow saying you have the app and your student will be cleared to dress down tomorrow for free. Thanks!
